Who We Are
The Creston Valley Garden Club (CVGC) is a vibrant group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about gardening and dedicated to sharing knowledge, resources, and inspiration. Our mission is to promote activities that enhance the natural beauty of our community and to foster a welcoming environment for gardeners of all experience levels.
Our History
The CVGC began in 1998, when a small group of enthusiastic gardeners started meeting in their homes to exchange tips, ideas, and experiences. As interest grew, the group formalized into “The Creston Valley Garden Club.” Over the years, our membership has flourished, and as of 2025, we are proud to have over 90 members.
What We Do
- Monthly Meetings: We gather on the last Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at 7 pm in the Creston Public Library meeting room. Our meetings feature guest speakers, workshops, plant swaps, and lively discussions on all things gardening.
- Community Projects: The CVGC organizes and participates in activities that beautify public spaces and support local environmental initiatives.
- Knowledge Sharing: Members benefit from a wealth of collective experience, whether they are seasoned gardeners or just starting out.
